TOUR SCHEDULE
Day 1 (Wednesday): Paris
Upon arrival at the Paris airport, our professional driver will hold a name plate and pick you up from the airport lobby to your hotel. Pick-up time (CDG): 07:00–22:00. Overtime surcharges will apply.

Day 2 (Thursday): Paris → Versailles → Paris (60 km)
Paris is your go-to for the next two days as you enjoy guided tours around one of the world’s most famous cities. Your Paris adventure gets off to a spectacular start with a drive along the famous Champs Élysées to the Place de la Concorde, which played an important role in the French Revolution. You’ll also get to see the iconic Arc de Triomphe here, the imposing memorial located near the west end of the avenue and commemorating the fall of Napoleon’s revolution and wars. You’ll visit another important historic building next as you make your way to L’Hôtel National des Invalides, home to Napoleon’s tomb, followed by a stop at the most legendary of all icons of Paris: the Eiffel Tower. You can take your time to explore the neighbourhood, have lunch, or see the Eiffel Tower.
Finally, you’ll take a coach ride through the Paris suburbs to the splendid Palace of Versailles, the vast regal castle that was once the residence of the royal family until the beginning of the revolution in 1789. Today, the palace is another famous attraction in Paris. In the evening, you can enjoy one of our optional Paris evening programmes.

Day 3 (Friday): Paris City Tour
The second day of your Paris experience begins with a visit to the Louvre, one of the largest art museums in the world. Here you’ll see some of history’s most famous masterpieces, including Venus, Victory of Samothrace (aka Nike of Samothrace), and Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Opt for a guided gallery tour, which will enhance your experience and allow you to browse hundreds of works in just a few hours. Afterwards, you can take a leisurely cruise along the Seine, a great sightseeing option with stunning views of iconic Paris landmarks, including Notre Dame and Pont Alexandre III. After an exhilarating morning strolling the gallery corridors, replenish your energy with lunch in the museum before heading to the area around the Palais Garnier, Paris’ opera house. Afterwards, you have the option of having a four-course French dinner and showing off the experience or spending time shopping at the legendary department store Galeries Lafayette. Day 4 (Saturday): Paris → Reims → Luxembourg (420 km)
The Red Line Tour departs from Paris for an exciting scenic journey through the rolling countryside of the Champagne region, known worldwide for its sparkling white wines. Enjoy the historic sights of the provincial capital of Reims, including the city’s cathedral, an important national heritage site where the coronations of French kings took place from the 11th century onwards. History and tradition are equally evident at your next location: Luxembourg, the only Grand Duchy left in the world. After arriving in exquisite Luxembourg City, you’ll be introduced on foot to the main attractions, including the Place de Constitution and Pont Adolphe, before having time to explore further on your own.

Day 5 (Sunday): Luxembourg → Trier → Koblenz → Rudesheim am Rhein → Frankfurt (400 km)
Today we leave Luxembourg behind and cross another European border into Germany. The first stop is historic Trier, Germany’s oldest city and the birthplace of Karl Marx. You will have the opportunity to see from the outside the house where the philosopher who had a great influence on humanity – now the Karl Marx Haus museum. Your walking tour takes you into the heart of Trier; here you can look around the city’s impressive cathedral, where the glorified mantle, believed to be the tunic of Christ, is preserved and displayed. Trier is also known as the ‘second Rome’ (Constantine served as administrator here for 10 years), and important legacies of the once great empire remain to this day. The highlight is definitely the Porta Nigra, the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps, which you’ll get to see and photograph. After an exciting morning in Trier, you’ll drive to Koblenz, famous as the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel rivers. Here you have the option of enjoying a relaxing lunch by the water, and you can also opt to take a scenic Rhine boat cruise for some memorable city views. Back in the drylands, you’ll drive through the wine-making town of Rüdesheim. Afterwards, head to Frankfurt am Main, where you’ll discover the delights of the Römerberg, a charming square with a mediaeval town hall.

Day 6 (Monday): Frankfurt → Bonn → Cologne → Amsterdam (500 km)
The morning begins with a leisurely drive north-west from Frankfurt to Bonn, the capital of former West Germany until reunification. The national government is now located in Berlin, but Bonn retains a rich history that is well worth exploring. Uncover the city’s secrets with an oriented stroll through the streets, passing highlights like the Rococo-façade town hall and the Ludwig Van Beethoven Haus, a museum celebrating the life of the much-loved composer. Afterwards, head to Cologne, where you’ll go inside the city’s glorious Gothic Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rest of the afternoon, you can explore more of Cologne, shop at the venue, or simply relax with a refreshing German beer. After lunch, the day ends with a drive to the Netherlands.

Day 7 (Tuesday): Amsterdam → Zaanse Schans → Amsterdam (50 km)
An exciting day begins with a leisurely ride through the Dutch countryside, where you’ll get to sample some of the things the Netherlands is traditionally famous for: clogs, cheese, and windmills. Visit the hugely popular model town of Zaanse Schans. Next, you’ll travel from the tranquil countryside to the cosmopolitan city as your cruise takes you back to Amsterdam. After touring a famous diamond factory where you’ll see unique cutting techniques that have been practiced here since the 16th century, you can join a one-day pre-dinner canal cruise. This is a great way to discover more about this unique European city. After disembarking, you’ll walk to one of the city’s largest areas, Dam Square, home to the Royal Palace and the King’s birthday celebrations. You’ll have photo opportunities here, free time for shopping or further sightseeing, and then end the day with dinner.
From mid-March to mid-May, the tour will also visit the Keukenhof Gardens, a 32-hectare seasonal exhibition featuring spring flowers of beautiful colours and fragrances, most notably millions of ulips. For more information, please visit www.keukenhof.com

Day 8 (Wednesday): Amsterdam → Brussels → Paris (500 km)
After leaving Amsterdam in the morning, you’ll head south across the border to Brussels, the Belgian capital and the political heart of the European Union. Along the way, the tour stops to see the distinctive Atomium Monument, a cellular structure of stainless steel spheres and tubes built for the 1958 World’s Fair. In the heart of Brussels, an orientation tour will visit the exquisite Grand Place as well as admire the famous Ugly Manneken Pis Statue. After your free time, you can try some mouthwatering Belgian delicacies. Then, from Brussels, we’ll head south again, across the French border, and into the bright lights of Paris.

Day 9 (Thursday): Paris
After breakfast, you can freely use your time shopping and sightseeing around the hotel, and our professional driver will pick you up and take you to the airport to end a wonderful 9-day tour in the EU.
You can choose to start and end the tour in Frankfurt.
